JKing Electric Skateboard Upgrade

In 2024, I purchased an electric skateboard for getting around campus at Ohio State. As I didn’t have a lot of money and wasn’t sure if I was going to use it, I bought the cheapest one I could find off of Amazon, which I found to be the JKing H2B. It is a pretty crappy design, but for $300, I couldn’t complain. I used the board throughout the year, attempting to repair it as it fell apart, but by the end of the year I decided to give up on it.

For my 2025 school year at UW-Madison, I decided to take it upon myself to take the old parts from the electric skateboard and install them on a Pennyboard instead. I was able to upgrade all of the parts and rebuild the board with an enclosure I designed and 3D printed.
