SecuPoll
As the cryptocurrency bubble was inflating, me and my mentor Mike Litman worked on a blockchain voting system. We built the application on the Stellar blockchain, and were preparing it for the Concordia University Startup Launch event.
We found a solution to ensure security by giving each user a “voting account” that a user would use for authentication and casting ballots through a proxy account. The idea was that I would take the steam from the Concorida University event to start deploying the application in my local community and expand from there. However, my presentation was mediocre, so I didn’t win the competition and gave up on the project.
While I wish I could have won the competition, I still learned a lot about horizontally-scaling development and Web3 concepts.
